CHSI, UBIC to present at DigIn Analytics & AI Conference

As a result of being chosen by Digital Insurance magazine as a unique example of companies working together to use innovation as a framework for enterprise strategy, CHSI Technologies and Utah Business Insurance (UBIC) will present on the topic at the magazine’s annual DigIn Analytics and AI conference on Nov. 13.

Tyler Nielsen, Utah Business Insurance Company

Urias McCullough, director of implementation at CHSI Technologies, will join the stage with Tyler Nielsen, VP of operations at Utah Business Insurance, to discuss the UBIC’s use of predictive analytics/artificial intelligence tied to a digital platform in order to create meaningful and effective decisions.

The session, “Fine-Tuning Performance at Smaller Insurers with Data,” will take place on November 13 at 2:30 pm at the Park MGM/Nomad Hotel in Las Vegas.

Urias McCullough, CHSI Technologies

UBIC’s cutting-edge approach to operational improvements using digital technologies proves that it’s possible for smaller workers’ compensation carriers to compete with their larger competitors.  In the session, Nielsen will discuss how UBIC developed a vision around analytics and AI in order to grow organically and successfully compete against a state-wide competitive landscape.

Both speakers will provide tips for smaller insurers on how to use analytics to drive improved decision making.  In particular, UBIC will make the case for moving from a current pipeline performance model to a predictive model that enables the insurer to make adjustments ahead of targets, and explain how to employ an advanced predictive model to assist the underwriter in making an educated assessment of future expected performance.
