World Captive Forum—a Great Excuse to Visit Miami in the Winter

More than 300 attendees enjoyed more than just beautiful Miami weather recently at the Business Insurance World Captive Insurance Forum. The meeting, which included an exhibit hall and educational conference, was great opportunity to mix with friends in the industry, and served to help all stakeholders learn moWCFre about trends and new technologies in the captive insurance world.

Attendees included captive service providers, including program formation and management firms, attorneys, CPA firms, brokers, regulators.

Among the most popular sessions was Blockchain in Insurance/Captives, Reinsurance/Fronting, and 2019 Regulatory Concerns. The WCF exhibit area was busy, with occaWCF3 Presentationsional standing-room only capacity at the CHSI booth.

During the conference, CHSI also introduced its latest software product, Captive Software Manager. A new module of the company’s CHSI Connections® insurance practice management platform, Captive Manager is a cloud-based system that allows captive managers to leverage the flexibility of a spreadsheet and accWCF 1ess the power of a secure database, notes Lee Mashore, CHSI’s chief product officer. “The idea is to provide access to a complete CRM solution and allow you to configure data elements within the system for the management of policy, premium, claims and more.”  Attendees who stopped to visit CHSI’s booth were shown examples of Captive Manager’s analytics, dashboarding and reporting tools.
